Lenovo Laptops in India have launched their ultra-portable S9 and S10 ideapad netbooks. The Lenovo Ideapad S9 Laptop is powered by the 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor and has been placed on the intel 945 GSE express chipset. The Memory options that are available are 512MB or 1GB and the Hard Disk options which are available include an 80GB or a 160GB.
The Lenovo Idea Pad S9, and the S10 are a good choice for those users who need a laptop to perform simple activities such browsing the Internet, and checking and writing e-mails, or listening to music and running basic applications. Basically those activities that don’t require too much processing or a big display.
The Lenovo IdeaPad S9 comes with a 8.9-inch screen and the IdeaPad S10 has a 10.2-inch display. These Lenovo laptops also feature a Wi-fi adapter and have the option of Bluetooth connectivity as well. They also come with an Express Card slot which can be used for installing an optional high speed mobile dial-up or broadband connectivity.
These Lenovo netbooks also come with a built-in Integrated 1.3M Webcam, they have 2 stereo speakers that provide an output of 1.5 watt each, 2 USB 2.0 ports, and a Battery that provides up to 3 hours of backup with a 3-cell battery, and up to 6 hours of backup with a 6-cell battery, they also have a 4-in-1 multi card reader .The weight of these netbooks is around 1.1 Kg each. And The O.S. options that are available include Microsoft Windows XP or Linux.
The Lenovo Ideapad S9 has been priced at around Rs.14,900 and The Lenovo Ideapad S10 Laptop will cost around Rs.16,900 in India.
