The world's largest laptop seller Toshiba has unveiled a slew of Toshiba laptop for the Indian market. This includes the world's thinnest and lightest laptop in India, at 1.18 kg and 19 mm. The sleek machine is called Portege 2000. Toshiba has also decided to bring in a super-premium pocket PC for a very excited price point thus making it one of the cheap laptops in India. Toshiba India has expanded its laptop portfolio in the country with the addition of five new Toshiba laptops. The company's entry-level C series gets refreshed with two new laptops, Satellite C840 and C850 series.

Toshiba Satellite C840 comes with a 14-inch display, while Satellite C850 has a 15.6 inch screen. Both these Toshiba laptops feature the new Intel 7 series chip sets with a choice of integrated or dedicated graphics card. The C-series laptops feature USB 3.0, Bluetooth 4.0 and HDMI ports. Available in textured black, glossy black and glossy silver color options, the C-series range falls under cheap laptops in India. Toshiba has also expanded its L series with the addition of the Satellite L850. Satellite L850 features include dedicated 2GB graphics memory, USB 3.0, webcam and a 15.6-inch screen. Satellite M840 is another addition to the company's lineup. It features a 14-inch screen and is priced among other cheap laptops in India. The company also launched an ultrabook called Satellite U840. Satellite U840 is powered by Intel i5 processors and features a 32GB SSD and 500GB hard disk. It has tile keyboards with LED back lighting. Toshiba announces 21:9 super-wide Satellite notebook U845W. With nearly 1800 horizontal pixels to burn, there should be plenty of space to fit an Excel spreadsheet on one side and its companion Word document on the the other. Toshiba’s also packed in an HDMI port and USB 3.0. They’ve added some style to the U845W with details like a backlit keyboard and brushed aluminum accents. Toshiba announces the 14-inch U845 ultrabook. At its price, its one of the cheapest laptops in India in ultrabook category. It’s powered by an Intel Sandy Bridge Core i3 processor rather than a shiny, new Ivy Bridge model. It’s also not packing a capacious SSD, but what sounds like one of Seagate’s Momentus XT hybrid drives, a pairing of 16GB of solid-state storage and 500GB of traditional hard disk. The U845 offers a more run-of-the-mill 1366×768 resolution. But even with a 14-inch screen, the U845 still manages to squeeze in to Intel’s official Ultrabook category.
